Ingredients

20 minutes
2 servings
  • 2 bowlscooked rice
  • 2-3green chilies
  • 3-4cucumber pieces
  • 1lemon piece
  • 1-2onion pieces
  • 2 tbspmustard oil
  • 1 tspsalt
  • For Bora -
  • 1 bowlsoaked masoor dal
  • 2-3green chilies
  • 1" ginger piece
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 pinchbaking soda
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • oil for deep frying

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Take leftover rice in a bowl add water to it, cover with fine net or mulmul cotton clothes and leave it at room temperature overnight to ferment.

    Making bora - take a blender jar add soaked masoor dal, ginger pieces, green chilies pieces and blend it into a smooth paste. Now transfer into a bowl and add salt turmeric powder, 1 pinch baking soda, mix it properly.

    Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and drop the small portion of dal mixture and fry them in low heat until the fritters becomes golden brown then take out in a absorbent paper and serve it with Panta Bhaat.

    Serve it with many different items like aloo bhate, fried fish, pickle, raw onion, bora etc. I have serve it with Musoor daler bora (red lentils), lemon piece, onion pieces, cucumber pieces, green chilies, salt, and raw mustard oil.
