Maple and Walnut Sour Cream Muffins
I love banana nut bread. Growing up I helped my grandmother shell walnuts a lot, so she swapped the pecans for walnuts and maple syrup added was the bomb! The house smelled wonderful. Now when I make this I use the dark amber real maple syrup for a rich maple flavor. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

Queen Elizabeth Cake (with Dates and Coconut)
I tried this cake at the Boulangerie Le Pain dans les Voiles in Montréal and liked its combination of dates and coconut. Apparently it was named after the Queen of Canada, Elizabeth II, and probably created in 1953 to celebrate her coronation. Or was it invented in 1937 for the coronation of King George VI and named after his wife, Queen Elizabeth? Regardless of its origin, the cake is delicious.
