Ingredients

  1. 240 mlcider vinegar
  2. 80 mltreacle/molasses
  3. 60 mlwater
  4. 3 tbsplemon juice
  5. 1 1/2 tbspsalt
  6. 1 1/2 tspmustard powder
  7. 1 tsponion powder
  8. 3/4 tspground ginger
  9. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  10. 1/4 tspground cinnamon
  11. 1/4 tspgarlic powder
  12. 1/4 tspcayenne pepper
  13. 1/8 tspallspice
  14. 1/8 tspcardamom powder
  15. 1 1/2 tsptamarind paste
  16. 1 tspanchovy paste (leave out if vegan)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Put all of the ingredients into a saucepan. Bring to the boil and whisk ingredients together well

    Strain then pour into a sterilized glass jar or bottle and keep in the fridge for up to 8 months

  3. 3

    Makes around 380mls or 1&1/2 cups
