My son has many food allergies and intolerances and tomato was a main offender for a very long time. Once I discovered how to make a good tasting substitute it opened up many recipes to me that were off limits before. They could finally enjoy pizza, lasagne and pasta bakes again. Please try!!

Ingredients

25 mins
  1. 1000 gramscarrots
  2. 30 gramslemon juice
  3. 25 gramswater
  4. 200 gramsapple juice
  5. 20 gramsbeetroot juice or puree
  6. 15 gramssalt
  7. 7 gramsonion powder

Cooking Instructions

25 mins
  1. 1

    Chop carrots into chunks and boil until soft

  2. 2

    Put them in a blender with all the other ingredients and puree

  3. 3

    Use as a pasta sauce, a pizza topping, lasagne or bolognese sauce.

  4. 4

    To turn into ketchup add 2 tsp cinnamon, 2 tsp garlic powder, a half tsp nutmeg, a half tsp white pepper and a pinch of ground cloves!

Brilliant! I've become so sensitive to so many things, since my MS/lupus isn't being treated (that might kill me quicker), anything like this I'm so grateful for; thank you!
