Place roast in slow cooker, season with black pepper, mix all ingredients. together with water/beef stock , pour. over roast, cook on low setting for about 3hrs. turn roast over, add mushrooms, cook for an additional. 3hrs or until tender (about to fall apart ) remove from slow cooker, let cool, then slice as desired. Great for Po-boy's or over garlic mashed potatoes.
