  • 12jalapenos
  • 16 ozJimmy Dean sausage (country or sage)
  • 8 ozcream cheese
  • 1 lbBacon sliced in half
  • 8 ozshredded cheder cheese (optional)
  • 24toothpicks

  1. 1

    Slice jalapenos long ways and remove seeds along with the veins. Caution: jalapenos may burn. Always wear gloves and never touch your eyes.

  2. 2

    Crumble the sausage in a pan and cook on a medium to medium-low heat until well done but not burnt. Drain and let cool.

  3. 3

    Mix together the sausage, cream cheese, and the shredded cheese.

  4. 4

    Stuff the jalapenos with the mixture with a spoon.

  5. 5

    Wrap with the bacon halves and secure with a toothpick.

  6. 6

    Heat oven to 350°F and cook for 30-45 minutes or until bacon is done.
