Deploy the sausage PIE

The spiritual successor to the days of flatting in Palmerton North, New Zealand...a horrible place.

Any who. This pie is the kind of thing we would whip up out of whatever we had in the fridge or cupboard.

It's nothing amazing but it can be an awesome meal with some peas and gravy.

Modify any of the ingredients and I guarantee it will still be good. Unless you use dirt, the it will be rubbish.

Anyway, let me know if you make it, or something similar. I just ate half of it, it rocked my socks!

Steps

35 mins
  1. 1

Pre heat oven to 150°C and deploy the sausages in for 15-20mins - until cooked.

  2. 2

Boil potatoes until soft and put aside.

  3. 3

Chop up onion, fry in butter until soft and add canned soup. Keep warm.

  4. 4

Once sausages are cooked, cut them up into small bits.

  5. 5

Line a baking dish with baking paper and line with pastry.

  6. 6

Deploy the sausages into the dish, then add the soup/onion mix to the top. Put second piece of pastry on top and make it look as decorative as desired.

  7. 7

Bake for 15-20mins on 200°C or until browned. I slammed a bit of cheese in there for good measure before putting the top on.

  8. 8

SMASH THAT GOODNESS INTO YOU! it will not suck!

Not much of a chef, I like to just throw things together and see how it goes and enjoy the process of cooking. Will post some of the results and stuff here.
