Brown Sugar Muffins with Jam Centres

I created this recipe when trying to use less white sugar in my baking. My boys love these! They're also good filled with nutella, cream cheese or whatever you can think of.

Brown Cane Sugar and Walnut Muffins Brown Cane Sugar and Walnut Muffins
These are my favorite muffins. Since you can really taste the brown cane sugar in these muffins, I recommend these for brown sugar lovers. My favorite part is eating them right out of the oven when the surface is still crunchy.Make sure to mix gently after adding the dry ingredients, and avoid over-mixing. They will keep in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. (They can be frozen, too). Warm in the microwave to get that just-baked taste. Recipe by Yukiline cookpad.japan -
Brown Sugar and Adzuki Bean Muffins Brown Sugar and Adzuki Bean Muffins
I had a little adzuki beans left over, so I added them to muffins. The familiar Japanese combination of brown sugar & adzuki manju inspired me, so these are my favorite muffins now.Do not over-mix the batter and adzuki beans! That way you can taste the adzuki beans and brown sugar in the baked muffins.I used tinned adzuki beans. If you use a pre-packaged adzuki bean paste, it will be slightly firm, so loosen with a little water. For making 6 muffins. Recipe by yaburie cookpad.japan -
