Ingredients

  • 2 cupscaster sugar
  • 3/4 cupswater
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • 1 teaspooncream of tartar

Steps

  1. 1

    In a saucepan add all the ingredients and let them simmer as u stir till all the sugar is dissolved

  2. 2

    Turn low the heat and cover the saucepan then let the mixture simmer for five minutes till it thickens

  3. 3

    Pour in a jar and let it cool then cover and store or use.

If you don't have cream of tartar, use dried citric acid as a 1:1 substitute, liquid citric acid as a 1:2 substitute or clear vinegar as a 1:2 substitute. Make sure all these products are food safe.
