Bread Malpua is an instant and easy-to-make at home recipe which is served as a delicious dessert. Rich in taste, this Malpua has a great demand in festivities and special events or activities.
Steps
- 1
Make the bread slices round in shape.
- 2
In a deep pan bring water and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat. Turn the heat to low and stir constantly until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture is clear with a sticky consistency (less than one string). For flavouring add cardamom powder and a few strands of saffron. Turn off the heat.
- 3
Heat ghee in an another pan. Deep fry the circular shaped bread slices on a medium flame until golden brown from both the sides.
- 4
Drop the fried bread slice in the sugar syrup. Then immediately pick it from the syrup and place it in a separate plate. Repeat this process for rest of the fried bread slices. Thus ready is the bread malpua.
- 5
Garnish the bread malpua with almonds and cashewnuts and serve hot.
