Buttermilk Waffles

I use a waffle iron that was my grandmother’s. I can guess what decade it’s from, but I’m not sure enough to say. All I know is that I have bought other waffle irons in my life and they do not compare to this one. If you have one, hang onto it as long as you can. If you see one at a garage sale, get it!

Steps
- 1
Whisk the flour, egg, buttermilk, and melted butter. (I added an extra splash of regular milk because my buttermilk is so thick.)
- 2
Cook in a waffle iron and top with whip cream and strawberries or anything you want. In the winter, I like pecans and maple syrup. I mix in chocolate chips sometimes too!
