I usually cook 5-6 nights a week (dinner). I enjoy it, but I totally get the whole “slump” thing! I get into cooking slumps, too. A new and different recipe can pull you out of the slump. Something that’s not a “usual”, like beef braciole (one of my favorites) or maybe a turkey.

I love cooking and my husband and I cook just about every night. I do have slumps as well though especially when I've had a busy day or my 4 year old just won't let me do anything lol... Those are nights I usually throw together a quick pasta. I always keep pasta in the pantry and frozen pastas are great too!

I cook much too often , then my family eats up EVERYTHING I make , then they start complaining that there’s no food in the house, well of course there’s no food , they just ate it all ! I wish I could cook less but with 2 teens and a big boy husband that’s almost impossible! 😂

I cook every day. It is really rare for us to eat out/fast food because of some health concerns I control through my diet. And because of that also, I try to cook with very few processed ingredients. Definitely takes a lot of pre-planning, but my health and my family are worth the time spent in the kitchen 😊

I do get into slumps too though! I tend to get burned out on making the same meals often. Usually a new recipe will help get me out of it.

I cook every Monday for Meatless Monday then again a couple days during the week but I also like to do a family meal on Sundays :). I don't cook Friday or Saturday the kitchen is closed!!!

I cook most nights of the week, or at least reheat frozen leftovers. I guess that's one good thing about a gluten issue, running out for burgers isn't a good option. I hit slumps too especially when my wife's schedule is staggered from mine, cooking late into the evening and eating right before bed gets old. One thing I recently did was cook up a bunch of chicken breasts to have quick healthy options ready to go. Here is what I made yesterday from them.

Super smart idea to have chicken breast ready for multiple purposes. That chili looks delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipe, Jason. :)

Just 1nce or 2wice a week. It’s just my wife and I & we eat very small portions, so it’s affordable for us to eat out and share a meal. Mostly I cook because I enjoy it!

Hubs and I often share a meal out - not only cost saving, but a more balanced portion size, too! :)

I cook as often as I can. Usually on weekends. I work very long hours, and when spring and summer finally get here, I will be working 50+ hours per week. Too tired to cook. ☹️

I cook 6 days a week. 3/4 of the time I’m baking desserts! The reason I do t cook on Sunday is because I’m gone. I’m at church all morning and normally shopping or sleeping the rest of the day. Last week, I had the cooking slump! I only cooked about twice last week. Moist and amazing peanut butter cookies helped me get out of that cooking slump! (Recipe by me). I hate cooking too much because my food is never appreciated! Everyone in my family literally eats 24 cookies in 2 hours! Then asks me to make a certain kind of cookie the next! I have never gotten a thank you for cooking my family’s favorite cookies...

Lol. I guess eating is the appreciation! Your family's lucky to have you cooking for them. :)

Don't cook as often as I want to. I work during the day and hubby works nights and the kids are grown and out of the nest so there's not a whole lot of motivation

I cook every day I also go to the store almost every day I prefer to cook fresh meat and fresh vegetables. I rarely take frozen meat from my freezer. I usually give it to my children when I couldn’t pass up a deal.

My wife and I cook something every day. Even if it's just some eggs in the morning, we try not to eat out often, but I manage a restaurant, so end up eating there a lot.

Hi! I cook about 3 or 4 times a week, but my daughter is super picky so sometimes I may cook 2 or 3 times a week.

I cook 6 nights a week and the 7th is usually a restaurant or something delivered. My kids and I are a little picky but I feel like we have a pretty solid rotation of meals we eat and enjoy. Summer is the best when I can grill most days. MN winters are no fun lol.
