Fried rice is no doubt most common rice dish loved by teens. For this fried rice I selected carrots, yellow and red bell peppers apart from cashew nuts and green garbanzo beans you can include or exclude the veggies as per your preference. The appetizing look will make your kids finish their lunch in no time. #kidstiffin

Ingredients

  1. 3-4 cupsCooked rice
  2. 1/2 cupCashew nuts
  3. 1/2 cupGreen garbanzo beans (hari boot)
  4. 1Red bell pepper
  5. 1Yellow bell pepper
  6. 2Carrots
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. 1 tspBlack pepper powder
  9. 1 tspBlack Soya sauce (optional)
  10. 1 tbspOil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Dice the carrots and bell peppers.
    Cut cashew nuts into halves

  2. 2

    Remove the green garbanzo beans from their shells

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a pan.
    Fry cashew nuts till golden brown. Remove to a plate.

    To the same oil (add some more oil if required) add the carrots, bell peppers and beans. Saute for a minute.

    Now add the cooked rice and give a stir.

    Season with salt and pepper.
    Add soya sauce.
    Mix well and switch off the flame.

    Fluff the rice and serve hot.
