Steamed Salmon with Thai Heritage Curry Paste
Steamed Salmon with Thai Heritage Curry Paste or Homok. Homok is a traditional Thai food. But in the past, a method was used to wrap banana leaves and put it under the stove with ashes in it to have ashes around the wrappers, called this method “Mok” using the heat from the charcoal above. Meanwhile it can cook normally, which will take quite a long time to cook because the heat does not come directly. Later it evolved into grilling on the stove. Until the steamer from Chinese came in. But the word "Ho Mok" is still used even though cooked by steaming.
