Steam the potatoes till soft and strain.
Clean the fish and leave aside. - 2
In a pot with oil fry the chopped onion with jeera seeds, cinnamon stick, bayleaf and curry leaves till the onions are done.Add the masalas, stir and then the grated tomatoes, garlic and ginger and salt.

Cook till the tomatoes are done, add the gravy of the tinfish and potatoes cook through 10mins on med heat. Lastly add the fish, lightly stir and garnish with chopped dhanya, leave on low for 5 mins and serve with a choice of sides.
