  1. 2 tinspilchards in sauce
  2. 3potatoes cut into quarters
  3. 1/2chopped onion
  4. 1 tspjeera seeds
  5. 1Cinnamon stick
  6. 1Bayleaf
  7. leavesCurry
  8. 1 tspgarlic and ginger
  9. 2 Tbsmasala
  10. 1/2 Tbskashmir masala
  11. 3grated tomatoes
  12. Salt
  13. Dhanya for garnish
  14. 8 Tbsoil

Steps

    Steam the potatoes till soft and strain.
    Clean the fish and leave aside.

    In a pot with oil fry the chopped onion with jeera seeds, cinnamon stick, bayleaf and curry leaves till the onions are done.Add the masalas, stir and then the  grated tomatoes,  garlic and ginger and salt.

    Cook till the tomatoes are done, add the gravy of the tinfish and potatoes cook through 10mins on med heat. Lastly add the fish, lightly stir and garnish with chopped dhanya, leave on low for 5 mins and serve with a choice of sides.

hi there what type of masala should I use and can I leave the Kashmir masala out if I don't have it or should I substitute it with something else
