Ingredients

  1. 4large eggs
  2. 1 cupbutter flavored pancake syrup
  3. 1 cupfirmly packed light brown sugar
  4. 4 tbspmelted butter
  5. 1 tbspflour
  6. 1/2 cupchopped pecans
  7. 1 cuppecan halves
  8. 1pie crust (store or homemade)

Steps

    If making your own pie crust, make the pie crust before starting the pecan filling.

  2. 2

    In a large bowl, combine eggs, pancake syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, flour and chopped pecans.

  3. 3

    Whisk until smooth.

  4. 4

    Pour into unbaked 9" pie crust.

  5. 5

    Bake in a preheated 350*F oven for 45-55 minutes or until the center is just set. Watch the last 10 minutes of cooking to make sure pecans and pie don't brown too much and burn.

  6. 6

    If it's getting dark, tent the pie with a piece of aluminum foil and continue baking until center is just set.

  7. 7

    When done, remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes to an hour.
