Soak daal for 1 hour approximately.. Now boil it with turmeric powder & 3 cup water..(do not discard water)

In a pan heat oil(2,3tbsp) add onion when soft add tomatoes along with red chilli powder, coriander powder & cumin powder.. bhounfy masala till tomatoes tender & oil separate..

Add chanadal(boiled) & lauki with daal water(1 cup approximately) cook till water dries & lauki tender..

Now add tarka on top.. enjoy with hot naan & achaar
