Steps

Heat the water and broth in separate pots. It's important to add hot broth so you don't interrupt the rice cooking.

Chop all the vegetables—onion, pepper, and tomato—into small cubes.

Place a paella pan over heat with olive oil. Sauté all the vegetables together for about 6-7 minutes, then add the tomatoes (crushed or fried).

Add the mixed vegetables and canned green beans. Stir a little.

Add the rice and stir. Pour in the hot broth and water. For example, for 5 cups of rice, use 10 cups of water or broth. If you like, add food coloring for color.

While cooking, avoid stirring the rice. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes, but stir gently only if necessary.
