This turned out so nice. I was in such a hurry. I wanted a loose meat sauce that wasn't too wet. I had some leftover coleslaw from KFC from a fishfry we had. Through it all together and I am glad I did!!

Ingredients

  1. 1 poundcoarsely ground beef 80/20
  2. 6 sliceshotdog buns
  3. 1 poundbeef hotdogs
  4. 1large coleslaw from KFC
  5. 2 teaspoonground paprika
  6. 1 teaspoonground mustard powder
  7. 1 teaspoonground black pepper
  8. 1 teaspoonpink Himalayan salt
  9. 1 tablespoonsugar
  10. 1-1/2 tablespoonsliquid smoke
  11. 2 tablespoonstomato paste
  12. To tastemayonnaise
  13. To tasteyellow prepared mustard
  14. To tasteHeinz tomato ketchup
  15. 1 teaspoonground cumin

Cooking Instructions

    Fry your hotdogs the way you like them. I like mine just caramelized.

  2. 2

    Add the course meat to a pot. Break it up just a bit. Add seasonings. When browned drain the excess liquid.

    Simmer to slightly bubbling. Then add the tomato paste. Simmer stirring occasionally until thickened.

    Cook until the meat is done and thickened, about 20 minutes total. Then assemble the hotdogs. Dress them the way you like. I hope you enjoy!!
