Wash and soak akha masoor atleast for 3 hrs and then add water and boil it in a pressure cooker.

In a kadai take some oil and add finely chopped onions and saute till colour changes.Grind tomatoes, ginger, garlic and green chilli. Add this puree to the onions and saute till raw smell goes. Add all masalas and boiled masoor and salt and pressure cook till one whistle. Garnish with chopped coriander. Add a spoon of ghee while serving.Serve with roti or naan.

For rice flour roti: Take 1 cup flour and 1 cup water. Keep water for boiling. Add salt to taste and 1 tsp oil. Add this water to flour and make dough. Keep it covered for 10 mins. Then apply oil and mix the flour well. Then roll into rotis and cook on medium flame.
