Ingredients

  • White Lentil (soaked) 1 cup *Onions (finely chopped) 1
  • Turmeric 1 tsp Red Chilli hole 10
  • Salt to taste *Garlic Cloves (peeled and chopped) 4
  • Ginger Garlic (grinded) 1 tbsp *Black Pepper 4
  • Cinnamon 2 *Cloves 4 *Green Chilies 3
  • Ginger (finely chopped) 2 tbsp *Mint 0r curry Leaves (finely
  • 1/2 bunchchopped
  • 3Green Chilies (finely chopped)
  • Oil 1/2 cup *Butter 1 tbsp

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a saucepan and fry 2 finely chopped onions till they turn golden brown.Remove and spread on a tissue paper.

    Now add peeled and chopped garlic cloves in the oil and fry them till they turn golden brown. Add 1 cup soaked white lentils, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp turmeric, red chilli, 4 black pepper, 2 cinnamon and 4 cloves. Cook slightly for a while.

    Add salt and 3 green chilies and 1 cup hot water, stir and cover the pan with the lid. Leave the pan on low flame. When the water dries off, keep it on a pan to simmer.

    Now add finely chopped mint leaves, some chopped ginger, 3 finely chopped green chilies and 1 tbsp butter.

    When the ingredients are all tender enough sprinkle fried onions, mint leaves and chopped green chilies, chopped ginger.

    Bhuni Maash ki Daal is ready to be served..
