Ingredients

  • 250 gmsChana dal
  • 250 gmsSev
  • For Seasoning-
  • 2 tspOil
  • 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  • 2 tspGinger–Chilli paste
  • 1 tspLemon juice
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2 tbspPomegranate Seeds
  • someCoriander leaves
  • as requiredWater
  • 2 tspsugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak chana dal for 5-6 hours and drain water from it.
    Grind coarsely till it becomes partially smooth in texture.

  2. 2

    Now take in a steel container and cook for 2-3 whistles in cooker.
    Now heat oil in a pan at slow flame.

  3. 3

    Add mustard seeds in it.
    When it splutters, add ginger chilli paste, salt, sugar and lemon juice in it.
    Stir well for 10-15 minutes and cook till oil is separated.

    And transfer in serving plate.

  5. 5

    And then garnish with sev, pomegranate seeds and coriander leaves.
