Soak the chana dal for 2 to 3 hours. Drain the water and grind it coarsely

Transfer the mixture in bowl and mix onions, chillies, cumin, ginger, rice flour, coriander leaves and salt. Batter should be thick to bind.

Make round vadas with hands and deep fry till golden brown on both sides.
