Ingredients

  1. 1 canbeef, drained
  2. 1/4 cuponion, chopped
  3. 1/4 cupcelery, chopped
  4. 2 cupsbeans, cooked(any kind of beans)
  5. 1 cupmacaroni, uncooked
  6. 1 1/2 cupswater
  7. 2-3 tsp.chili powder
  8. 1/4 tsp.garlic poweder, optional

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook beef with celery and onion over med. heat until browned. Drain any fat and rinse with warm water.

  2. 2

    Add other ingredients to meat mixture. Heat to boiling over med. high heat.

  3. 3

    Turn temperature to low and cook for about 15 mins in a partially covered pan.

  4. 4

    The mixture should be thick and the macaroni and vegetables tender.

  5. 5

    Variations for this recipe to add for nutritional value or to make a larger volume: * frozen chopped spinach, partially thawed and broken into small chunks. *frozen or canned peas.... *fresh or frozen chopped broccoli... *thickly sliced or grated carrots.

  6. 6

    Use cooked leftover meats like beef or turkey in this recipe.
