Ingredients

30 minutes
Serves 4 servings
  1. As many flour tortillas as needed (see my recipe collection)
  2. as neededSliced ham (turkey, pork, or bologna),
  3. Shredded cheese, such as Manchego, Chihuahua, Asadero, Oaxaca, or Gouda, as desired
  4. Sliced tomato, as desired
  5. Lettuce, as desired
  6. Pickled jalapeños (see my recipe collection), optional, as desired
  7. Spicy salsa, optional, as desired

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Shred the cheese.

  2. 2

    Place enough cheese and a slice of ham on a flour tortilla. Fold the tortilla in half.

  3. 3

    Heat a griddle or skillet and cook the quesadillas until the cheese melts, about 2 minutes per side.

  4. 4

    Serve with tomato, lettuce, and pickled jalapeños.
