Poha in english it is Beaten Rice is good sauce of Healthy Carbohydrates.. It is Easily Digestable, Rich in Iron and Low in Calories. Every time we are making potato samosa. I was having Poha at home. So I though to make some Poha Samosa. This is first time I made Poha Samosa with Air Fryer. My family like it. It is simple and healthy. Please try this Recipe at home.

Ingredients

10 - 15 minutes
4 - Servings
  • 1 CupThick Beaten Rice / Poha
  • 2Potato (boiled)
  • 1 tbspRed chilli powder or as needed
  • 1 tspRoasted cumin powder
  • 1 tspgreen chilli and ginger paste
  • 1 tspMango powder
  • 1 pinchAsafoetida
  • 1/2 tspSalt
  • 2 tbspoil
  • For dough
  • 1 Cupmaida/All purpose flour
  • 1/2 tspAjwain/carom seeds
  • 1/2 tspOnion seeds
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • 2 tbspOil

Steps

    Wash Beaten Rice/ Poha and drain it. Wash potatoes and cut in to half and pressure cook for 3 whistles. When it is done. Cool it and allow standing time for 2 minutes. In a bowl add boiled potatoes and mashed it properly.

    Then add red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, ajwain, mango power, salt, coriander powder, ginger and green chilli paste. Add Poha and mixed properly. If you want to add coriander leaves you can, I am not having coriander leaves so I didn't use it. Once it is done. Keep aside

    In a bowl. Combine maida, ajwain seeds, onion seeds, 1 tbsp oil and salt.Mix...properly. Then add enough water and knead a medium dough. Stuff the mixture into the balls and roll it like a thick chapati. Take a samosa mould keep the poha mixture in the centre portion of the chapati and pressed gently. Open the mould and take out the smaosa from the mould. Keep aside.

    Mean while preheat Air fryer for 180 the C for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes cool it and take out the basket from Air fryer. Brush oil in the basket and keep the samosa batch wise. Don't over crowd it. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes. Check in between. If it is done.

    Transfer to a serving dish and Ready to serve with Sweet and Sour Tamarind chutney
