Ingredients

30 minutes
2 servings
  1. 2thick pork chops on the bone
  2. 1large Spanish onion
  3. 6large white mushrooms
  4. 1 teaspoonsmoke blend seasoning(or of your choice)
  5. 1 teaspoonbutter
  6. salt & pepper
  7. I tablespoon olive oil

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Add olive oil to cast iron skillet on medium/high heat & cook chopped onions & mushrooms until done & then remove & set aside

  2. 2

    Add butter to skillet on medium/high & season chops with seasoning & salt & pepper & cook for 3 minutes on each side

  3. 3

    Add cooked onions & mushrooms to skillet with chops & put in 425° preheated oven & cook 5 to 7 minutes depending on thickness of chops

  4. 4

    Remove from oven plate & serve.

This is the absolute best method of cooking thick pork chops! I now make it every month or so... last time tried it with porterhouse steak, and that works nicely too. A favourite!
