Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupoil
  2. 1/2 cupwater
  3. Besan as required
  4. 1 tspajwain
  5. 1 tspcrushed black pepper
  6. to tasteSalt
  7. 1/4 tspasafoetida
  8. 1/2 tspbaking soda (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    First in a bowl beat water and oil till it's became white and thick.

  2. 2

    Now add ajwain, black pepper, salt, hing and mix it well.

  3. 3

    Now add besan gradually and continue mix it in one direction. Add besan until it's became thick like a paste.

  4. 4

    Now using your hand continue mix this paste in one direction until it's light and fluffy.

  5. 5

    Now greas the ganthiya maker, fill the dough/paste and make ganthiya in medium hot oil, sprinkle some water and fry it.

  6. 6

    You can store this for 20-30 days.

  7. 7

    You can also use jhara to make it.

  8. 8
