Ingredients

  1. 1 blockpork belly or strips
  2. Marinade
  3. 1 tbspsoy sauce
  4. 1 tspsalt
  5. 1 tspsugar
  6. 2 tspfive spice powder
  7. Sprinkle some white pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Blanch the pork belly in hot water for 10 minutes with ginger and spring onions. Make sure the water is hot but not boiling.

    Poke as many holes as possible on the skin with a sharp object. Wipe dry the meat of any excess water.

    Apply marinade ingredients under the meat. Keep in the fridge to marinate for 3 hours.

    Put the meat on a baking tray. Sprinkle some salt on the skin surface.

    Bake the meat in 180 degress celcius for 30 minutes.

    Finally, set to 200 degree celcius for 12 minutes till the skin crackling and turned crispy browned.

    Let it cool down and cut into smaller pieces and serve.
