Vanilla cake

#ldcravings2
No doubt how the hotel industry has been hit when the whole world is fighting against Covid 19. There is lockdown all over the country. We don't have any option to dine out rather we have to cook at home whatever we want to eat.
We have become very much habituated on outside food either it's cakes and bakes, or lunch and dinner, we order food online or go out in restaurants to celebrate any occasions like birthday, anniversary, kitties etc., but since we are left with no other choices but cook special dishes yourself. People are trying and developing their skills in cooking and yes I am no different and baked a simple vanilla cake topped with homemade cream extracted from fresh Malai (as I couldn't buy cream from near by shop due to lockdown) and chocolate sauce.

Steps
- 1
Sieve maida, baking powder, baking soda in a plate (do it twice so that soda and baking powder mix well with the flour)
- 2
Add powdered sugar and ghee in a bowl, mix well.
- 3
Add maida mix into the above and continue whipping in one direction adding milk gradually, do it till you see the net kind of formation on the sides of the bowl.
- 4
Grease your cake tin applying ghee on it.
pour the batter into the tin and adjust the batter a little so that air bubbles are released. - 5
Preheat your oven, bake for 35 minutes, after that, check it with the help of a toothpick whether it is perfectly baked or not.
- 6
Let it cool and then take out in a plate, cut it into two equal halves, apply cream on the top of bottom half and place the other half on it. Apply cream on the top of the cake and on the side walls also, hiding the cracks, apply chocolate sauce on top making some beautiful pattern. Keep the cake in refrigerator for 20 min and cut into slices and serve.
