Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1-2 lbseye of round steak
  2. 1 cupcarrots whole or diced
  3. 2.stalked of diced celery
  4. 1 cupsliced portobello mushrooms
  5. 3small potatoes quartered
  6. 1medium yellow onion thinly sliced
  7. 2 clovesgarlic
  8. 1/2 Cflour
  9. 1 1/2beef broth or onion soup mix
  10. 1 tbltomato paste
  11. tsppaprika, oregano, thyme
  12. s&p
  13. tblworcheshire, liquid smoke
  14. 1 candiced or stewed tomatoes
  15. 2 tbloil/butter

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Pound out meat. 1inch thick.

  2. 2

    Season flour and dredge. Season well. Shake off excess flour.

  3. 3

    Sautee veggies and garlic 1-2 minutes. Scrape bottom with some beef broth.

  4. 4

    Add tomatoes, liquid smoke, worcheshire, broth, seasonings. Bring to simmer. Taste

  5. 5

    Oven 325 for 2 hours.
