Dry roast peanut until crisp, then rub it to remove the skin of the peanuts.Break into 2 and set it aside.

Into a pan add powdered jaggery, water and let it melt. Pass it through a tea filter to remove the dirt.

Transfer it to the pan again and add a pinch of Cardamom powder and cook until the syrup thickens

.To check the consistency pour a little syrup to a bowl of water, the syrup should break and should be brittle.

Now add the broken peanuts, some and mix well. Immediately transfer it to a ghee greased pan or plate and cut into desired shape

The classic Kadalai Mittai is ready!
