A famous South Indian snack with Leek. I added this vegetable because i wanted to add some Green Leafy Vegetables like Spring Onion Greens in these Vadas, but then i realized that Leek also is very much similar to them and is a milder version of them. Also I have made these Dal Vadas with Spring Onions already. And thus the end result was innovative awesome lip smacking hot Vadas with Leek. Try these Crispy Vadas for Iftaar or snack time in particular if it's easily available in the Indian markets when the situation gets better. Stay Safe! Stay Indoors!

Grind the Lentils with all the masalas except the Coriander Leaves and Leek. (Keep some soaked Lentils about 3-4 tablespoon aside.)

Later on mix the other ingredients, keep it aside along with the soaked whole dal. After mixing well, keep the dal batter aside to let the flavours infuse well. Shape them into small vadas and flatten them a little with your hands. Deep fry these vadas in a hot Oil on a low to medium high heat. (Care should be taken for the first 2 minutes and the vadas should be left undisturbed.)

After a minute or two, slowly turn them to the other side. Serve them hot with green chutney or any dip of your choice. Enjoy!
