Ingredients

  • 1.1 lbsfinely ground beef (500 grams)
  • 1.1 lbsbulgur wheat (500 grams)
  • 1 tablespoonground red pepper
  • 1 tablespoonkibbeh spice mix
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinchseven spice (baharat)
  • For the filling:
  • 1.1 lbsground beef (500 grams)
  • Pinchkibbeh spice mix
  • Pinchseven spice (baharat)
  • Pinchsalt
  • 1.1 lbsonions, diced (500 grams)
  • Corn oil
  • leavesMint
  • leavesBasil and marjoram

Steps

    Soak the bulgur wheat in water for about 2 hours.

  2. 2

    In a food processor, blend an onion with basil, marjoram, mint leaves, kibbeh spice mix, and ground red pepper.

  3. 3

    Mix the soaked bulgur well with salt, the blended onion mixture, mint, basil, marjoram, red pepper, spices, and ground beef until it forms a cohesive dough.

  4. 4

    For the filling, sauté the diced onions in corn oil until soft. Add the ground beef, seven spice, salt, and a pinch of kibbeh spice mix.

  5. 5

    Shape the dough into balls, flatten each one, fill with the meat mixture, and seal to form stuffed balls.
