Kabocha Rice Made in Rice Cooker

Simple and fragrant. I made this for iftar and kids complained because it smelled sooo good. I used fermented garlic+candlenut. You can replace it with regular oil, but I reckon it won't smell as good. Maybe you can fry some garlic first and use the oil. I use a type of rice with the ratio of 1:1.5 (rice:water) so you might want to adjust to the type of rice that you usually cook.

Ingredients

6-8 servings
  1. 500 mlrice
  2. 750 mlwater
  3. pinchsalt
  4. 1 tbspoil (I used fermented garlic & candlenut oil)
  5. 1 cuppeeled and diced kabocha
  6. 2 tbspdry sliced garlic (you can use fresh garlic, of course)

Cooking Instructions

    Combine all ingredients in rice cooker. Stir if necessary.

    Press COOK and wait until it's done!
