These kienyeji mushrooms are picked, cleaned and cooked, it can be eaten fresh or can be dried to preserve since they are highly perishable. These are sun dried and stewed.
Cooking Instructions

Soak mushrooms in water for about 1hr since they are dried.

Chop onions, tomatoes, dania and capsicum.

In a cooking skillet heat oil under medium heat, saute onions then addsalt and tomatoes, add spices, cover let it simmer for about 3min to form a paste, stir.

Remove the mushrooms in soaked water and rinse, then add in the skillet, stir a bit then add milk, keep stirring then add water.

Cover and let it cook for about 20 mins. Add the capsicum and dania 5min before removal.

Serve while hot with your favourite starch.
