Steps
- 1
Start with a cast iron pan if you can. This way you can cook and serve out the pan after and it'll keep the cheese melty. If not, use what you have and make a roux by melting butter then adding and equal amount of flour. Once they are combined, add milk a little at a time. You will see it thickening fairly quickly so keep stirring to you have the volume you want. Add in a teaspoon of cayenne of you like it hotter, paprika if you don't
- 2
Dice up your jalapenos. You want them fairly small. You can also throw whole ones in
- 3
Throw into your roux and mix
- 4
Once mixed in, add your freshly grated cheese. Do not use store bought grated. Yukky stuff that.
- 5
Mix it all in till the cheese fully melts. Now you can serve.
- 6
Anything you don't eat, you can reheat up to a few days later. Enjoy 👍😁
