Here in Sweden we're not able to get hold of any English sausages. We've got loads of other yummie options instead though, but sometimes we do fancy sausage rolls or homemade mcmuffins - and this recipe makes brilliant sausage meat for these occasions!
Steps
- 1
Finely chop onion and bacon into tiny pieces. Fry in a bit of oil until soft (not brown!). Let cool down in a bowl.
- 2
Add the rest of the ingredients to the bacon and onion and mix well.
- 3
For sausage rolls:
- 4
Make long slim sausages out of the mixture and roll them into puff pastry. Let the long rolls rest in the fridge for 1 hour, then cut up into desired sized sausage rolls.
- 5
Brush with some egg wash and cook in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
- 6
Enjoy!
