Simple Fried Moong Daal

Also known as Moong or Mung Bean or Sabut Moong, this contains a high amount of fiber. It helps with weight control, lowers blood pressure, lean source of protein and a non meat source of Iron. This is an easy peasy way to enjoy a healthy snack at tea-time with your loved ones and friends. This can be done in Ghee also with some spices of your choice if you prefer. But my family loves it this way and there is absolutely no need to boil them. You can directly stir fry it. But remember that it should be soaked overnight for best results. Enjoy this guilt free stir fry at evening Chai or for that anytime Choti Moti Bhook.

Steps
- 1
Wash and soak your whole Green Gram, preferably overnight or at least for about 4-5 hours. In a pan, heat about a teaspoon of Oil. To this add in Mustard Seeds and Red Chilli flakes. You can add finely chopped Green Chillies too instead of this.
- 2
Finally add in the soaked and well drained Green Gram and stir until nicely cooked and done. It gets done in no time at all. Garnish with chopped Coriander Leaves. Sprinkle Chat Masala and stir in some Dry Mango powder or Amchur too. Mix well and serve immediately. Enjoy!
