I love anything that has coconut in it and these were super sweet.
Steps

In a bowl put in the flour, yeast,salt,baking powder,cardamon and give it a mix.

Add in the coconut milk as you knead until your dough is not sticky on the hands.

Let it sit for about One hour.

When ready cut out the dough into big circles and roll out.

Cut into strips and divide each into small diamonds and do the same to the rest of the dough.

Once you are done dividing fry them in oil until golden brown on both sides.

For the Sugar coating.Boil sugar,water and cardamon all together until the syrup thickens a little bit.

Add in the fried mitai's and lower the heat.

With both hands hold your sufuria and toss the mitai's so that they can be covered by the syrup evenly.

Do it over and over until the syrup dries up and becomes powdery.Make sure they are perfectly coated.
