Ingredients

15 minutes
4 servings
  1. 4onions
  2. 12garlic cloves
  3. 2 inchginger or 1/2 Tsp paste
  4. 15big size cashew nuts (soaked)
  5. 1/2 cupCream
  6. 1 cupMilk
  7. 25black pepper balls
  8. 3cloves
  9. 1/2+ 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper Powder
  10. 1 TspSalt
  11. HandfulFresh coriander
  12. 300 gramsCottage Cheese
  13. 2 TbspGhee
  14. 2 TbspButter

Steps

  1. 1

    In a pan, heat ghee.

  2. 2

    Saute Onions, garlic, ginger, black pepper balls, cloves and cashews till light golden brown.

    Let it cool.

  4. 4

    Now grind in a mixer with little water to smooth fine paste.

  5. 5

    Now take same pan, add butter and put this paste in it.

  6. 6

    Simmer for a minute.

  7. 7

    Add fresh cream or beaten malai and milk in it.

  8. 8

    Mix very nicely at medium flame until smooth. Then turn to low flame.

  9. 9

    Add more black pepper powder (as per taste) and salt. Mix.

  10. 10

    Simmer for 2 minutes.

    In another non stick pan, saute paneer with little ghee and black pepper powder. Or you can simply use raw paneer.

    Add fresh coriander and paneer. Mix and serve.

  13. 13

    Bonus tip: To roast Cottage Cheese, you can prepare flavoured oil.

  14. 14

    Heat 1 Tbsp butter and add 5 pepper balls along with few chopped garlic in it. Cook for 1 minute. Switch off gas and Leave for 5 minutes.

    After 5 minutes, Use this butter to roast paneer lightly. This way you will flavour your cottage cheese without deep frying.

  16. 16

    Cooking tip: I usually use its garlic and black pepper in gravy by firstly treating the paneer and then making gravy. I am a garlic fan so love more garlic. You can choose to opt out for extra garlic.

  17. 17

    Add roasted cottage cheese in gravy and serve hot.
