Ingredients

10 sticks
  • 1kg chicken thigh
  • Marinade
  • 4 tbspoil
  • 2 clovesgarlic
  • 3big shallots or 2 white onions
  • 3 tbsphoney or sugar
  • 1 tsplemongrass powder
  • 1/2-3/4 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  • 1/2-1 tspsalt

  1. 1

    Combine all ingredients for marinade in food processor/blender. Blend till smooth.

    Taste, and adjust saltiness and sweetness accordingly.

  3. 3

    Cut chicken thigh into bite-sized cubes.

  4. 4

    Mix chicken into marinade and refrigerate for at least 6 hrs or overnight.

    Soak bamboo satay sticks in water for at least 5-10mins. If possible, soak for 30mins.

    Skewer chicken, and cook on bbq, or grill.
