Chunchi patra pitha

Pitha is a type of traditional rice cake from the eastern regions states like Odisha, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand,WestBengal and even in Bangladesh etc. In older days chunchipatra pitha is made with the help of a bunch of grass used to spread the batter on the tawa and gradually it is replaced with a piece if cloth.

Prepare a runny batter using raw rice, water and pinch of salt.

For stuffing take a pan add the Coconut and fry it for sometime add jaggery powder and cardamom powder and mix it well till jaggery caramelized.

Batter on a tawa. Add the stuffing at the middle and fold it from all the sides.

Roll from all sides.

Ready to serve.
