Steps
- 1
In a bowl add wheat flour, maida, salt, red chilli powder and oil and mix them together and now add water and make a soft dough let it rest for 10 min.
- 2
Meanwhile for stuffing in a plate add mashed potato, salt, red chilli powder, pav bhaji masala, coriander leaves and lemon juice and mix them all together.
- 3
Now make two balls from the dough. Flatten them and dust with whole wheat flour. With a rolling pin, roll them into about 4 to 5 inches.Apply little oil (optional) all over the rolled dough.Place 2-3 tablespoons of stuffing in the center. Don’t overfill else it will be difficult to roll.Bring all the edges together and pinch to seal the edges.
- 4
Now using your rolling pin, roll the dough to a circle of 7-8 inch diameter. The trick here is to apply equal pressure while rolling. If you do that, your paratha will turn round automatically.
- 5
Transfer the rolled paratha onto the hot tawa. Cook the side for a minute or two and then flip over. Apply ghee on the half-cooked side and flip again. Now apply ghee on the other side as well. Press with a spatula and cook the paratha till both sides have golden brown spots on them. Repeat with the remaining dough balls. Serve hot aloo paratha with amul butter, curd and fresh green chilli.
