First of all soak peas overnight or for 4 to 5 hours then drain the water and cook peas in cooker by adding little salt and 1/2tsp turmeric powder and take 4 to 5 whistle.

Now take a kadai add mustard seeds, asfotida and chopped onions and chilli ginger paste and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

Now add chopped tomato and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or till mushy or oil Shoud be remove from gravy.

Now add tsp of besan so the gravy will be thick.

Now add all the spices, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and usal masala, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

Now add boiled peas to gravy, and add some water as per your requirements. And add lemon juice to usal. And boil for 5 minutes now usal is ready to serve.

Serve hot usal with pav and garnis with some chopped onion and sev.
