Boil the chaap sticks untill soft and keep them aside.
In a pan, add some oil and shallow fry the chaap. You can also deep fry if you dont mind the calories.
Now to prepare the gravy, take another oan, heat some oil and add cumin.
Now add paste of 2 large onions. Cook them patiently on low flame untill they are brown in colour. This step is really important.
Add 2 tsp ginger garlic paste. Cook well.
Add in salt, red chilli powder, pich of turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala and little - 2
Now add puree of 2 large tomatoes.
Cook the masala really well.
Now add 1/4 cup cream or malai and 1 cup water.
Bring it to a boil.
Now simmer the flame, add in the fried chaap sticks and let it cook till 15 mins
Gravy would become thick.
Switch off the flame, add in kasuri methi and lemon juice.
Serve hot with rotis.
