İ love samoosas but but I still struggle with the pastry. Don't make the oil too hot, you will get pimply samoosas. For tiny things they sure are a lot of work🤣

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix flour, oil and salt.

  2. 2

Add water bit by bit, just enough to bind the flour mixture

  3. 3

Mix everything and knead till the dough is no longer sticking to the hands

  4. 4

Divide your dough into 5 or more round and equal portions

  5. 5

Flatten and roll each portion of your dough on a flat surface to make a thin dough

  6. 6

Lightly oil each side of your thin dough.

  7. 7

Heat in a hot pan just a few seconds or so on each side. Dont let it burn or become crusty

  8. 8

Further divide your samosa sheets into 4 parts each (this will give you 4triangles)

  9. 9

Put your favourite filling on one side and fold into a triangle shape. 'glue' the edges with a paste made of flour and water.

  10. 10

Deep fry in medium hot oil till golden brown and drain on paper towels

I discovered my love for cooking a few years ago. Since eating out is expensive i figured i had some learning to do. Living in a very small town(i doubt it can even be called that) where you cant always find what you wanted also pushed me towards doing it on my own. I am Zimbabwean by the way.I think the internet is the best invention ever since i can look up recipes, try and modify them to suit my preferences. I love sampling dishes from different countries and of course stories behind them
