Measure 1 cup of quinoa and rinse it until the water runs clear to reduce bitterness and odor.

Pour the rinsed quinoa into a pot. Using the same cup, add 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to the lowest heat.

Add a pinch of salt, stir well, and cover with a lid.

Let it cook for about 15 minutes, then turn off the heat but do not open the lid. Allow it to cool in the pot with the lid on for about 10-15 minutes.
