Black Rice Black Rice
My mom gave me some black rice to bring home. This is my first attempt at cooking it and I forgot to fluff it at 10 minutes. I am really not sure if black rice is better for you but I would definitely add a pinch of salt next time. Katatonickat -

Perfect Rice Perfect Rice
Indians , Spanish people and Asians eat rice with almost every meal. There are many kinds of rice . Long grains, short grains, brown, white, basmati .. So on. But brown rice is higher in magnesium and other minerals. It also has more fiber. For example, a cup of white long-grain rice contains just one gram of fiber, whereas a cup of brown rice contains four. - But it is so chewy and takes more time to cook. I usually mix them with whites. That the reason you soak them, longer you keep them in water shorter time to cook. I used Goya brand rice. If you make 1 cup rice , use 1 and 1/2 cup of water/ broth. For 2 cups rice use 3 cups of water. .. Rae -

Loaded Rice Loaded Rice
I love rice but I prefer to add vegetables. This recipe calls for celery, carrots, onions, and hot peppers, but you can substitute any other vegetables. Rice freezes really well so I like to make a big batch and then freeze in 1-2 cup amounts. fenway -
Perfect Red Rice Perfect Red Rice
Classic red rice my family makes to accompany many of our traditional hispanic meals; such as: mole, enchiladas, caldo de pollo/ or albondigas, etc. Great side dish, super easy and quick to make. Surprisingly not many people en know how to make it. So i decided to add to my recipes. To add a little texture and diversity we sometimes add canned corn and/or 1 can tomato and 1 can pato tomato salsa. Yummy!! Sabtsuki -
