Ingredients

2 servings
  • 1Chicken thigh
  • 1 tbspSake
  • 1 cloveGarlic (optional)
  • 1Sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp☆ Plain flour
  • 2 tsp☆ Curry powder
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 tbspOyster sauce
  • 1 tbspSoy sauce
  • 1 tspHoney

Steps

  1. 1

    Slice the garlic and remove the core. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and marinate with 1 tablespoon of sake.

    Put the plain flour and curry powder into a plastic bag and shake to mix evenly. Then add chicken chunks and shake to coat.

    Heat the sesame oil in a frying pan and add sliced garlic. Fry over medium heat until fragrant, then add chicken chunks skin side down and cook for about 6 minutes. Move the sliced garlic to the side, and if the garlic starts burning, take out and set aside.

    Turn chicken chunks over and cook another 5-6 minutes to cook through. Remove any excess oil with kitchen paper and add the sauce. Cook over high heat and coat the chicken with the sauce.

    User "Taunpii" made this dish using the chicken wing mid sections. It looks very delicious and nicely glazed.
